I am the principal of F. J. Young. I am proud of our school with its wonderful students, dedicated and caring staff, and supportive parents. As an administrator, it is my goal to consistently guide and support both the social development and academic learning of all of our students. I want our students to experience school as a place where learning is exciting and fun, where care and trust are emphasized, and where each individual is helped, inspired, and expected to be fair, respectful, and responsible. I want our students to grow in self-discipline, enabling them to work both independently and cooperatively in all their endeavors. I feel it is imperative for administrators, teachers, students, parents, and other members of the community to work together to meet these goals and create an exceptional school community.
I invite you to join us as a partner in the education of the students at F. J. Young Elementary. I welcome your input and active support.
Sherrie Warren, Principal
I am the Assistant Principal at F. J. Young. I have been in education for 33 years, with 27 of those years here in Seminole. We have a wonderful staff that is dedicated to children and teaching. My philosophy is that the school process is a journey and our responsibility at F. J. Young is to help children pack their suitcase for life’s journey. We not only teach them academic skills, but we also teach them life skills. We work hard to help them pack communication skills, social skills, and conflict resolutions skills into their suitcase. Our goal at F. J. Young is to provide a high quality education and a meaningful school experience. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of our student’s educational journey and enjoy working as a team with parents and the community to provide the best education possible for students.
